How to wash rollers used with Interior Paint?

Many times it is wiser just to let the roller dry and throw it away if you're not going to use it anymore. If you bought a high-quality roller and wish to reuse it (up to 4 times), you will want to wash it. Here we show you a fast and easy way to do it.

1 Scrape off excess paint.

You want to start by scraping off excess paint onto your paint container using your hands if you don't mind getting dirty, or you can use the curved side of a scraping tool.

2 Wash the roller

Separate the foam roller from the frame and submerge them in a bucket filled with warm water with some drops of dish soap. Let them sit for a minute, and then start working the paint out of them.

3 Rinse the roller

Under some warm, you can finish rinsing all the paint water off your roller cover.

4 Let dry

After rinsing, shake as much water as possible and let sit until dry.

Storage

If you are not done with the painting project and will continue in a few days, you can skip the cleaning process by wrapping the roller in plastic and storing it in the refrigerator.

If you cleaned the roller, you could store the roller wrapped or in a plastic bag to avoid it getting dirty.
